Privacy statement
This statement covers tasmeri.com, the website of a hotel on the Hobart waterfront. The site collects very little. This is the complete list.
Stored in your browser
Two entries in local storage:
tasmeri_age_ok: your reply to the age question on the home page, kept so that browser is not asked again.tasmeri_consent: your reply to the cookie bar.
Nothing else is stored. No analytics, no advertising tags, no social media widgets. Measurement and advertising consent starts out switched off on every page, ahead of any script, and the site never switches it on unasked.
The enquiry form
Collects your name, email address, phone number if given, and the enquiry text. It is emailed to reception and a copy is kept in the site’s admin area in case email fails.
Not collected here
There is no booking engine. The site does not reserve rooms, take deposits, create accounts or process payments. It has no field for card details.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to a stay are deleted after twelve months. Records of a stay are kept for five years, as Australian tax law requires.
Disclosure
Two parties can read it: reception, and our web and mail host. Information is not sold, not given to advertisers, and not sent overseas except where the hosting provider stores it, which is in Australia.
Access, correction, complaints
Personal information is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You may ask for access to the information held about you and for it to be corrected. Write to the address on the Find the wharf page; a reply follows within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Play exists in the rear range, in person, and nowhere else. This website takes no bets, keeps no player accounts and handles no money for The Cooperage.
